Councillor Teresa Cullen represents the Beeston Rylands Ward. She has been a member of the
Labour Party for over 20 years, holding
various positions locally over the years.
Teresa grew up in Toton and attended
Chetwynd Road Infants and Juniors
Schools before moving on to Chilwell
Comprehensive and Broxtowe College.
Teresa started her career in the Civil Service at Chilwell Depot before quickly progressing into the
Voluntary Sector, where she has worked for the last 27 years.
Her work has included Deputy Organiser
at Beeston Volunteer Centre, Manager of
Voluntary Services at the QMC hospital and after working in a
number of senior positions at National charities, Teresa is now
focused on her role as Chief Executives of local charities Young
Potential and Transform Training, where her training as a qualified
Youth Worker comes in handy.
Teresa is a member of Beeston Rylands
CAT, as well as Chair of Trustees at the Association of Voluntary
and Community Sector Learning and Skills Providers, ENABLE. She is
also a member of ACEVO, the Association of Chief Executives of
Voluntary Organisations and The
Institute of Directors.
In her spare time, Teresa is interested in historical fiction and
her big passion is organising
fundraising events.
