6.2	Creation of a Permanent Project Surveyor PDF 86 KB View the background to item 6.2 To seek approval for the creation of a permanent Project Surveyor (Capital Works) post within the Asset Management Service prior to submission to Cabinet. The role will provide technical surveying support, project management and quality assurance across the Capital Works Team (70%) and the Development Team (30%), including responsibility for managing the 12 month defects liability period for all new-build schemes. The Job Description and Person Specification have been approved by the Job Evaluation Panel and have resulted in a Grade 8 post. The documents are circulated with this report. 11.	Major Aids and Adaptations - Disabled Facilities Grant View the reasons why item 11. is restricted View the background to item 11. To seek aproval for contingencies funding (up to £8,000) for an in progress disabled facilities grant which would result in an exceedance of the existing policy threshold of £60,000. This is in accordance with the Council's Corporate Priorites for Housing -'a good quality home for everyone and responding to housing need by facilitating adaptations to the homes of disabled people in the private housing sector'.
