As the
youngest Councillor on Broxtowe Borough
Council, Adam Stockwell was born in
1996 and currently represents Stapleford South East.
Adam attended William Lilley Infants and Nursery School, Fairfield
Primary School and then George Spencer Secondary School and
Technology College, before completing A-levels in Politics, History
and Sport at Bilborough College.
At the moment I am searching for a part time job which I can fit
around my duties as a Borough Councillor.
Adam's interest in politics began at 2010 general election and
inspired him to join Broxtowe Youth Council. During his time on the
Youth Council he served on the SADB Scrutiny, Advisory and
Development Board and as Broxtowe Youth Mayor in 2012/13.
As recognition for his year as Youth Mayor, Adam was invited by
Broxtowe MP, Anna Soubry to complete a
work experience programme in her
constituency office. He enjoyed it so much that he joined the
Conservative Party and became much more active in local
politics.
Adam is currently Vice Chair of Stapleford Advisory Committee and
the Electoral Advisory Committee and also serves on the
HS2/Toton Advisory Committee, the
Strategic Planning and Economic Development Examination and Inquiry
Group and the Computer Advisory Committee. He is also a member of
Stapleford South East CAT.
In his spare time, Adam is a lifelong Notts County Football supporter and season ticket
holder and also enjoys playing, as a former Pegagsus Youth Football Club player. He is also a
1st Dan Black Belt in GoKanRya KarateDo style
with over nine years of experience.
