Additional Information

I was elected to Broxtowe Borough Council in May 2003 as a Conservative Councillor for Nuthall West and Watnall, although I have been involved with local politics for almost 30 years as a Nuthall Parish Councillor.

I am a Nuthall Parish Councillor and I also attend Greasley Parish Council meetings on a regular basis. I am a Governor at Mornington Primary School and Larkfield Junior School.

My immediate concerns for the Nuthall and Watnall areas are the threat to our greenbelt with the building of houses and the plans to run the HS2 train through Nuthall. Other concerns are crime and anti social behaviour issues and she I am in regular contact with the Police on such matters. I am involved in the Nuthall Community Action Team (CAT), which regularly holds meetings with residents and officers of the Council and provides a forum to discuss issues of importance to local people in the area. Everyone is welcome to attend.

I run a Councillor's surgery on the first Saturday of each month at The Temple Centre at Nuthall between 9.30 am and 10.30 am at the Spinney Sheltered Housing Scheme at Watnall between 10:30 am and 12 pm with Councillors Burnett and Simpson and County Councillor Philip Owen.  As there is no waiting area at the Spinney, it is advisable to ring and make an appointment on 0115 9389728. No appointment is required for the Temple Centre Surgery.
