I was born and brought up in Bulwell, Nottingham, but moved to Chilwell in 1992 with my husband Steve. Our son, Thomas was born two years later. We later moved to Beeston and I became a Councillor in 2011. I am proud to have been elected again in 2015, 2019 and 2023
I attended Manning Grammar School and Clarendon College where I studied Business and Accountancy alongside languages. I became a fully qualified as a Mortgage and Equity Release Adviser, although I am now retired from the world of work.
Previously employed for 38 years in Banking and Finance I retired in 2017 due to ill health. I now keep busy by working hard for residents as their Councillor.
I joined the Liberal Democrats in 1992. I believe in community cohesion and my aim is to improve the living environment for all residents, whatever their political persuasion or need.
I am the Council’s representative The United Charities of Abel Collins Homes and a new member Broxtowe’s Refugee Steering Group. I am currently a Trustee of Citizens Advice Broxtowe
My hobbies include reading and travel and I love animals, especially cats.
