Members were informed that the Council was delivering a significant programme of Fire Risk Assessment remedial works across its housing stock.
RESOLVED that:
1. The Council’s Housing Revenue Account meets the cost of further remedial works aligned to the remaining relevant asbestos and Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions identified within the recent batch of inspections, at an estimated total of £142,100.
2. A Section 20 consultation commences informally with leaseholders regarding the remaining relevant asbestos and FRA actions (with no charge insisted).
3. A Section 20 consultation commences formally to coincide with the next batch of asbestos and FRA inspections (with charges insisted).
