The Committee considered the application to
review a premises licence.
The Committee noted the representations made
by the applicant. This included:
- Evidence had been obtained that the
premises was selling illegal cigarettes, vapes and drug
sweets.
- There was evidence of an overall
lack of control at the premise.
- There was no evidence that the
licensing objectives were being upheld.
- Despite the warnings given regarding
the above, the premise continued to sell the illegal items.
The Committee noted the representations made
by the licence holder. This included:
- The evidence was circumstantial and
no definitive proof could be provided that they were selling drug
sweets.
- They had inadvertently purchased
illegal cigarettes but when they became aware of this they no
longer sold them.
- The vapes were not being stored in
an area which suggested that they were being sold.
RESOLVED that the licence
be revoked.
