The purpose of this report is to make members aware of matters proposed for and undergoing scrutiny.

To provide Members with an update on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

To advise on the budget consultation process for 2027/28 and to set out the proposed timetable and budget scrutiny process.  This is in accordance with all the Council’s priorities.

To approve a series of budget revisions to the Capital Programme for 2026/27, in accordance with all the Council's priorities.

To provide Members with a summary of complaints made against the Council.

To consider the arrangements for free parking across the Borough over the Christmas period. This is in accordance with the corporate priority of 'Business Growth' to invest in our towns and out people.

To seek approval for new civic activities in 2027 and the associated costs.

To consider requests for grant assistance in accordance with the protocol for the consideration of grant aid to parish and town councils.

To consider a request for grant aid in accordance with the provisions of the Council’s Grant Aid Policy.

To provide Cabinet with an update on the Housing Service Improvement Plan following the earlier judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing.

To seek approval for the revised Cemetery Rules and Regulations, including the associated fees for memorial garden applications.

To update Members on progress at Brinsley Headstocks and seek approval for additional funding.

To present the feasibility study findings for enhanced visitor facilities at Bramcote Hills Park, including a café, toilets and meeting space.

Cabinet is asked to approve its Work Programme, including potential key decisions that will help to achieve the Council’s key priorities and associated objectives.
