Cabinet is asked to confirm as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

The purpose of this report is to make members aware of matters proposed for and undergoing scrutiny.

To provide Members with an update on the ongoing preparatory work being undertaken across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in relation to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).

To report progress against outcome targets linked to Corporate Plan priorities and objectives and to provide an update as to the latest financial performance as measured against the budget.

To seek approval for a budget of £50,000 from General Fund Reserves towards the anticipated costs of undertaking a Community Governance Review (CGR) to consider the creation of new parish councils within the unparished areas of South Broxtowe.

To consider the next course of action regarding the utilisation of Section 20 consultation with leaseholders for remedial actions within the Fire risk management and asbestos programmes.

To inform Members of the report from the Children and Young People's Conference in line with the Council's vision of a greener, safer, healthier Broxtowe, where everyone prospers and its priorities of a healthy and supported community and a safe place for everyone

To seek approval for the annually reviewed and updated Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2025/26 and for its publication on the Council’s website and the Home Office’s modern slavery statement portal. This is in line with the Councils vision of a greener, safer, healthier Broxtowe, where everyone prospers and its priorities of healthy and supported communities and a safe place for everyone.

To inform members of the new Broxtowe Crime Reduction and Broxtowe Health and Wellbeing Action Plans 2026/29.

Cabinet is asked to approve its Work Programme, including potential key decisions that will help to achieve the Council’s key priorities and associated objectives.

The Committee is asked to RESOLVE that, under Section 100A of the Local Government Act, 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
