Senior Appointments
Minutes: Members considered the recommendation of the Chief Officer Employment Committee which hade met to consider Chief Officer appointments and statutory roles following the retirement of the current Chief Executive.
RESOLVED that: 1. The appointment of Zulfiqar Darr as Interim Chief Executive, including designation as Head of Paid Service, Returning Officer and Electoral Registration Officer be recommended to full Council for approval with effect from 13 September 2025. 2. The appointment of Martin Paine as Interim Deputy Chief Executive and Section 151 Officer be recommended to full Council for approval with effect from 13 September 2025. 3. The appointment of Greg Dwyer as Interim Data Protection Officer be recommended to full Council for approval with effect from 13 September 2025. 4. That Councillors decide whether how to fill the posts of permanent Chief Executive and make arrangements accordingly – if externally advertising allocate a budget of £40,000 to acquire the necessary external expertise to support this process. 5. That any consequential changes to the Constitution are made considering the above changes. |
