To approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on 16 January 2020.

The minutes of the meeting held on 16 January 2020 were confirmed and signed as a correct record.

To provide the Joint Committee with the latest Public Health England mortality predictions.

Members noted a report which provided information on mortality predictions as supplied by the Public Health England. The Joint Committee was informed that short –term factors, such as Covid-19, may temporarily accelerate the death rate for the elderly and medically vulnerable.

The dates of the next meetings are as follows:

The Joint Committee was informed that the next meeting would be held on 25 June 2020.

The Committee is asked to RESOLVE that, under Section 100A of the Local Government Act, 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Joint Committee noted a report which gave an update on the latest information regarding the Crematorium.
