The minutes of the meeting held on 25 June 2020 were confirmed as a correct record.

To provide the Joint Committee with the latest update on cremation numbers and other aspects of Bramcote Crematorium.

The Joint Committee were provided with the latest update on cremation numbers and a general update including the Covid-19 response.

It was noted that there had been an increase for the service during the COVID-19 pandemic during March, April and May. It was noted that cremation numbers had since returned to normal.

To provide the Joint Committee with information on some of the other services provided by Sandwell Crematorium in the West Midlands.

The Joint Committee considered the potential for other services at Bramcote Crematorium. These included the potential for café and pet crematorium. It was noted that these options required financial investigation.

The Joint Committee is asked RESOLVE that the proposed

schedule of meetings is approved.

The Joint Committee noted the proposed dates of the Bramcote Bereavement Joint Services Committee. These were:

17 June 2021 - Bramcote Crematorium (Annual Meeting)

RESOLVED that the proposed schedule of meetings is approved.

The Committee is asked to RESOLVE that, under Section 100A of the Local Government Act, 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
