Councillor Margaret Handley

Councillor Margaret Handley has been a Broxtowe Borough Councillor for 15 and a half years and has been pleased and honoured to work on behalf of the local residents of Greasley (Giltbrook and Newthorpe). She is married to John and has live in Eastwood since 1979. She retired from teaching five years ago.

Margaret was also a member of Greasley Parish Council and was Chairman for 2015/16.

Margaret and John have two grown up children, David who works in London for an International Law firm and Sian who lives and works in Geneva for Deloitte, the International Finance Company.

Margaret loves to read and her great passion is cooking and entertaining friends.

Margaret was Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe during 2012/13, supporting two charities, the Ryan Lee Trust and the Royal British Legion, during her Civic Year.
